I’m a PhD student at the University of Waterloo doing research on the foundations and applications of blockchain technology. I’m currently working on Themelio, a public “layer 0” blockchain exploring a novel design tradeoff where higher-level features are sacrificed in pursuit of building the minimally useful blockchain that refutes the trilemma of decentralization/security/scalability.
