Call for Papers: Blockchain, DeFi, and AI

Hi everyone! @YulinLiu20 and I are guest-editing a Research Topic on the intersection of blockchain, DeFi, and AI. Given your work building and analyzing these systems, we thought you might be interested in submitting a paper.

A lot of strong work in this space on MEV auction design, AMM mechanism analysis, LLM trading agents, agent-to-agent payments (e.g. ERC-8004 discussions), token engineering, LLM-based contract auditing ends up on arXiv or ethresear.ch and never gets a peer-reviewed home, because it doesn’t fit neatly into either finance or CS venues. This issue is meant to be that home.

In scope, among others:

  • AI agents in decentralized markets; agent-to-agent economies

  • Mechanism/incentive design in DeFi protocols

  • MEV, AMM design, market microstructure with on-chain data

  • Multi-agent simulation of digital economies

  • DAO governance and decentralized decision-making

  • AI and smart contract safety

Original research, reviews, and methods papers all welcome. Extended versions of workshop/conference papers are fine.

The topic is Blockchain, DeFi and AI: Economic Systems, Intelligent Agents, and Mechanism Design

It can be published on Frontiers in Blockchain or Frontiers in AI.

Happy to answer questions here about scope or fit and if you have a preprint you think qualifies, comment or DM me and I’ll tell you directly whether it’s a match.
